Former Florida Medical Assistant who was arrested for forging prescriptions turns to meth and alcohol and abandons daughter & son as children.
Our Story
Jennifer Ashenfelter was born on October 27, 1979, in Ohio, but later moved to Moon Lake, Florida (Pasco County) as a teenager after her father left her mother, Deena Roberts, due to her mother’s involvement with drugs and violence. Jennifer thrived while attending East Lake High School, known for her good grades, consistent attendance, and active social life.
After graduation, Jennifer’s life took a downturn as she got involved with drugs and alcohol, leading to a rapid decline. Upon becoming pregnant, she decided to abandon her first child, Hailey, leaving her in the care of Hailey’s father. He stepped up and raised Hailey, who has since become a successful young woman, graduated from college, and is beginning her career in the medical field.
Jennifer later met Jeremy Robinson and became pregnant again. They welcomed Logan Robinson into the world. However, both Jennifer and Jeremy’s drug and alcohol problems worsened, leading them to live on the streets, often with their young son. When Jennifer’s mother discovered this, she began taking care of Logan while Jennifer and Jeremy continued their drug binge, which escalated into methamphetamine addiction.
After several years of meth use, Jennifer and Jeremy frequently fought due to Jeremy’s desire to get clean and care for their son as a sober family. Jennifer, however, was not interested in sobriety, leading to their separation. Jeremy soon found love with Jennifer’s high school friend, Leslie Cucinotta.
Upon discovering Jeremy and Leslie’s relationship, Jennifer was furious. She stalked them for weeks and eventually rented a hotel room in the same hotel where Jeremy and Leslie were staying. Her intention was clear: to “snatch and grab” her son, Logan. When she attempted to execute her plan, the police were called, and Jennifer quickly received a restraining order, protecting Jeremy, Leslie, and Logan from her meth-fueled actions.
Several weeks later, Jennifer posted online seeking help with housing and posted an ad on Facebook looking for a room to rent. Robbie, who had recently moved to Florida from San Diego, saw her post and offered her a spare bedroom to rent and a part-time job at his company, Hoot Commerce, to help her get on her feet and offset the rent.
Robbie soon became frustrated with Jennifer’s obvious drinking problem, which caused her to consistently miss work. The situation worsened as Jennifer’s drinking became apparent in the household, often in front of Robbie’s two children. Things quickly deteriorated as Jennifer failed to pay rent for three months and did not work to offset the rent, leading Robbie to evict her.
Following the eviction, Jennifer began stalking and harassing Robbie, his children, his family, and even his clients at work. She claimed to be in love with Robbie and insisted to others that she was his ex-girlfriend, attempting to have him arrested by making false claims of domestic violence due to Robbie’s refusal to be with her.
The situation escalated when Jennifer sought revenge by befriending Robbie’s daughter’s mother, with the intention of hurting Robbie by trying to have his daughter taken away. She made false claims about drug abuse, which triggered the mother to use this false evidence to attempt to modify the court-ordered custody arrangement. Victoria Arboleda, Robbie’s daughter’s mother, who is bipolar and a cocaine addict, saw an opportunity to use Jennifer to take her daughter back. They conspired together, and their plan came to fruition in March 2023, when Robbie’s daughter went to visit Victoria for Spring Break. Victoria refused to return Lizabelle and began using the court system by creating frivolous and vexatious injunctions, all of which were denied. Despite this, the broken system, including police, DCF, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, claimed their hands were tied and insisted that Robbie needed to go to court to get a Pick Up Order.
After ten months of not seeing his daughter and the courts refusing to respond to his pleas for help, Robbie decided to sell his home to finance attorneys and get his daughter back. He was successful, and Lizabelle finally came home.
